Am I the only mom out there for who the bath time procedure feels like an entire 1 hour workout?! Please say I’m not the only one!
Micah has been having a love/hate relationship with bath time but lately he’s been LOVING it! As I go to turn on the water, I hear him crawling like super man because he knows what’s coming.
When I was pregnant, I researched A LOT and I mean A LOT on what are the best products to use for the upcoming little one. I remember my mom using a couple of brands that I chose to go with as well and I LOVE them! My current two favorites to use for Micah for shampoo/body wash would have to be by Burt’s Bees Baby and California Baby. Not only do they make the little man smell SOOOO good they are also great in their ingredients.
I started out with a smaller bath tub that worked great (linked below) but he grew out of it and I still wanted a tub for him. I wanted the tub because that way you do not need to fill up the entire bath but just the little tub. This blue one works great and I believe it is from IKEA!
Another essential that I just purchased because I got so, so tired of trying to have his toys somehow organized in the tub is this toy bag organizer and it helped SO much! It’s super affordable and just sticks right onto your bath tub! I love it!
I don’t know about you but for me personally, the part after bath time gets even more tough. Micah won’t ever sit still. Not for a minute. Getting him dried up, lotioned up (is that even a word?!) and dressed up will take so much patience (help me Lord)!
I love smothering him in some lotion because it makes him smell even yummier and my favorite is the Weleda Brand. It has great organic ingredients and the diaper rash cream is my FAVORITE! I’ve tried a couple and this one works like a charm whenever Micah gets any sort of redness! Seriously amazing!
But at the end of the entire bath time procedure when your little one is nice and fresh and just sits there and gives you this face. It makes it all worth it. You even get a fake workout in and that’s just a bonus 😉
Happy (and good luck) Bath Time!
